Bring Bill HR 847: James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act to the floor of Congress for a Vote Now

To: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ms. Nancy Pelosi & All Congressional
Representatives
We the undersigned urge Speaker of the House, Ms. Nancy Pelosi, to immediately
commit to a firm date for bill HR 847: the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation
Act of 2009 to be on the floor of the House of Representatives, for a vote.
Having lost over eight hundred September 11th first responders since that horrific
day, we must act now as many, many more of our Nation’s Heroes are sick
and dying due to the time they spent at the World Trade Center site.
We would like to to stress how important the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and
Compensation Act of 2009 is to us, our community and America. It is time to
get this bill to the House floor and passed so that those who put America first
on September 11, 2001 are taken properly taken care of, now.
We want HR 847 passed by Thanksgiving so that we, as a country, can properly
thank the thousands who have given so much of themselves, so selflessly. We
have lost over eight hundred September 11th first responders since that horrific
day, we MUST act now as many, many more of these men and women are sick and
dying due to the time they spent at Ground Zero.

The New York Times, on October 17, published a page-one
story by Scott Shane about the CIA’s defiance of a court order to release documents
pertaining to the John F. Kennedy assassination, in its so-called Joannides
file. George Joannides was the CIA case officer for a Cuban exile group that
made headlines in 1963 by its public engagements with Lee Harvey Oswald, just
a few weeks before Oswald allegedly killed Kennedy. For over six years a former
Washington Post reporter, Jefferson Morley, has been suing the CIA
for the release of these documents.1
Sometimes the way that a news item is reported can be more newsworthy
than the item itself. A notorious example was the 1971 publication of the Pentagon
Papers (documents far too detailed for most people to read) on the front page
of the New York Times.
The October 17 Times story was another such example.
It revealed, perhaps for the first time in any major U.S. newspaper, that the
CIA has been deceiving the public about its own relationship to the JFK assassination.

In the fall of 2008, the NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative realized that both strategy
and tone were moving its effort no closer to broadening its support. Facing
a wary, apathetic public and a stalled momentum, leadership was replaced, strategy
was revamped and its mission rebranded.
Launched in early 2009 as NYC CAN, the new organization proceeded to effectively
engage voters in a rational dialogue concerning the unanswered questions surrounding
9/11 and the best interests of our country. Our vehicle for engagement was a
public referendum to create a real, independent, evidence-driven investigation
into those questions that remain, eight years later, unaddressed.
That revamped strategy — focused and methodical, free of divisive rhetoric,
ill-advised conjecture and alienating political judgments — succeeded
in garnering the support of 80,000 NYC voters, over one-hundred 9/11 family
members, dozens of first responders and survivors and leading 9/11 family advocates
including ‘Jersey Girls’ Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg and Patty
Casazza as well as Bill Doyle, Monica Gabrielle and others.
NYC CAN also received backing from the most trusted leaders in the 9/11 truth
movement, including David Ray Griffin, Richard Gage, Kevin Ryan, Steven Jones
and Niels Harrit; and the endorsement of respected whistleblowers Lieutenant
Colonel Anthony Shaffer and FBI Special Agent Coleen Rowley, TIME’s 2002 Person
of the Year.

Within days of 9/11 happening I became convinced that something was very fishy about the whole thing. To be fair about it, I probably leaped to my conclusions somewhat prematurely, and I can well understand why many people have been skeptical regarding 9/11 skeptics. On the other hand, after eight years there’s now literally a mountain of evidence that the official story cannot possibly be true.

But where to start in deconstructing our received narrative? David Ray Griffin may well have found its Achilles heel in his latest book, The Mysterious Collapse of World Trade Center 7: Why the Final Official Report About 9/11 Is Unscientific and False. If you read this book with an open mind I hope that at the very least you’d be willing to support a new, non-partisan, scientific investigation into what happened.

It’s always great to talk with David — this is the third time I’ve had him as a guest on the podcast — and every time I learn a lot. It’s also worth mentioning, for those who don’t regularly follow 9/11 developments, that there’s steady, on-going progress in assembling the evidence for some kind of inside job. Year after year, more and more pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. Perhaps certain aspects of what happened may never be known, but unlike, say, the Kennedy assassination, here, an argument built of irrefutable facts, that doesn’t depend upon conjecture, stands up against anything the establishment can throw at it.
